The M2 metro puts Kongens Nytorv about 14 minutes away and runs around the clock, so even an overnight gap can include the city. Nyhavn, Strøget and Tivoli Gardens cluster within walking range of the metro stops. With a full day, the more unusual luxury is a second country: Malmö is about 20 minutes by train from under Terminal 3, ID card or passport in pocket. Leave a security margin of an hour on the way back, more if checked baggage is still to be dealt with.
