Copenhagen Airport Metro Guide

Frequency and journey times
Trains run every 4 to 6 minutes through the day and evening. Between about 1:00 am and 7:00 am the interval is roughly 20 minutes on most nights and about 8 minutes on the nights after Friday and Saturday. Kongens Nytorv is about 14 minutes away, Nørreport about 16, with no change. A standard three-zone ticket covers the trip, bought in the DOT Tickets app or at station machines.
The metro (M2) and the trains are separate systems from separate platforms. Regional and Øresund trains under Terminal 3 reach Copenhagen Central Station in about 13 minutes and serve Ørestad and Malmö; the M2 serves Christianshavn and the city core. Both run from the same complex under and beside Terminal 3.
What 24-hour service means for early flights
For a 6:00 am departure, the metro runs from the city centre to the terminal at 4:00 am for the price of a normal ticket. The choice is between a night cut to about four hours in a city hotel and a full night at the Clarion or Comfort Hotel, where the terminal is a short walk away. For departures before about 7:00 am, plan with the night interval of 20 minutes rather than the daytime one.
Hotels on the metro and train lines
The Best Western Plus is a walk from Kastrup station, one M2 stop from the airport. In Ørestad, the Crowne Plaza and CABINN Metro are by Ørestad station, one train stop away, and the AC Bella Sky is next to Bella Center station on the M1. All four are reachable from the airport station by metro or train, in both directions.
